AVE Returns to Capitol Hill

After a two-year hiatus as a result of the Covid pandemic, AVE members returned for a multitude of meetings on Capitol Hill to discuss issues impacting the automotive industry and suppliers. Although virtual meetings with congressional offices became the norm throughout most of 2020 and 2021, AVE executive Director, Lee Janger emphasized the importance of in-person meetings: “Despite being convenient, virtual meetings cannot replace the need to build relationships on Capitol Hill with face-to-face meetings. We look forward to returning whenever possible to advance our issues and concerns.” AVE regularly conducts 40-50 meetings with congressional offices every year.
